14 years ago, our founder Mr. John Cheng established the association. Over the years the association expanded greatly and became one of the largest association in California. Our mission is to serve the Chinese American communities and help the new immigrants to establish ground in this country. 

The 7th term has come to an end. Under President Sher Li, we have accomplished numerous impossibles to becoming possibles. Under her leadership we have contributed and organized many meaningful events for the communities. We have organized several bilingual political seminars, to educate and encourage people to vote during the elections as we are no longer just a donor but also a voter. Speaking of vote, a historical event has happened to the Chinese American Federation, for the first time in CAF history we had a democratic election to elect the next President, Director General and Chief Supervisor.  We have more than 80 association representatives showed up for the ballot and voted for the next CAF officials. We have demonstrated the democracy with the democratic election and have set an example for others. 

As a result, we have elected president Simon Shao. A man with vision, with a big heart, who has been a member of CAF since establishment. I know Simon Shao for almost 20 years. He’s a man with character and integrity. To my fellow CAF members, as Chinese American Population continue to grow in the Southland, we need to standby our new president Simon Shao. Under his leadership, he will lead us to the next level. Under his leadership he will take us to the next stage. Together and united we can accomplish our mission. Together and united we can achieve our goal. Together and united we can make a difference.
